Teacher Qi Zhijun encountered the Buddhadharma in the 1980s and immediately accepted it with faith. He later relied on Master Yuanyin and studied the Heart-of-Heart Dharma. In 1990, at the elder master’s instruction, he began bestowing empowerment and transmitting the Dharma to students. After the elder master passed into parinirvāṇa, he moderated an online Heart-of-Heart Dharma forum under the screen name “LVM,” responding to learners according to their capacities, answering their questions, and freeing them from attachments and bonds. His two books, Sawing Open a Steelyard Weight and Selected Gems from the Mind Altar, were published and distributed by Religious Culture Press.
