Chan Master Dahui Zonggao

Dahui Zonggao (1089–1163), whose secular surname was Xi, was a native of Ningguo in Xuanzhou (present-day Anhui). A Song-dynasty monk of the Yangqi branch of the Linji school, his style name was Tanhui; he was also known by the sobriquets Miaoxi and Yunmen.
